| Double Sided Escape Route Signs | |
| The
NEW British Standard for Escape Route Signing, BS5499-4:2000 recommends
that for an escape route signing system to be effective, it is important
that from any place within the building occupants should have sight of a
sign, or series of signs, which leads them to a place of safety.
There are areas within a means of escape route that can prevent a person from fixing an escape route sign either on the wall or above a door. Examples of these are factory environments (as illustrated), floor to ceiling doors, and corridors which lead into open areas, indicating a change of direction. |
